1. This week has mostly consisted of continuing to finish the admin system and underlying functionality.
2. autosuggest fields have been generated.
3. all functionality for the admin system is now ready, although not all is implemented, as I have a couple of decisions to make about the best way to store some data - see the data schema report. This will be completed over the weekend.
4. I was not able to meet Marco Roos this week as I could not get a reply from him in time. So instead I have emailed him with some questions and details on what would be useful for the project, to see if he is still interested. I have also emailed Derek Richard, who previously contacted Wendy about using the NPD data to retrieve siRNA records, and I have asked him for some useful information - though of course he may not be interested or have the time to help. I will wait and see.
5. I have been trying to write some more reports out from my notes, as these will be beneficial for the dissertation. I will meet with Graeme and Wendy next week to hand over testing of the admin system to Wendy and to see if they have any further points to raise. I will then continue with writing the reports and slotting their content into the dissertation, with the aim of having another draft done by the end of next week (week 9), although from now on sections will be submitted to Jano rather than the overall material.
